SPRING SEMESTER GOALS
Spring semester is Band Festival Time! In addition to refining our music reading, musicianship and performance skills, the Concert Band will spend a considerable amount of time and energy preparing 3 pieces of music for performances at the Forum Music Festival in Anaheim in April and the SCSBOA or CMEA Band Festival in May. These performances are open to the public (parents are invited to attend) and are judged by professional music educators. The band will receive a rating for their performance based on how musically they play. Our goal is to receive SUPERIOR ratings at these 2 festivals. We will also be marching in the Chula Vista Starlight Parade and Linda Vista Multicultural Parade! With everyone doing their personal best to prepare their music, I am confident that together we will achieve our goal!
More information about these 2 major events will be forthcoming. Look here soon to hear recordings of our festival pieces.
THE SPRING TRIP THIS YEAR WILL BE TO KNOTTS BERRY FARM!!!
